WATER
They say water means love
What a strange thing indeed
For one can drown in water
But how good to soak in a hot bath
Or stand in a shower and let the water run over you
We drink it, we wash in it,
we are made of it
And then there is the rain, the snow
The oceans and the rivers
The sound of water is always soothing
Except when it’s leaking from burst pipes
A fountain is gorgeous
A waterfall triumphant
The spray in our face
The gurgle of a happy brook
The slaking of thirst
as we drink away our thirst on a hot summers day
We can sip water
We can guzzle
We can splash water
Make waves
Or just a gentle ripple
We can ride on it
We can swim or soak in it
We can dive in
Or travel deep underneath
We can float or swim
Let it carry us along
Or fight against its current
We can dive bomb
Shake off the wet
Dry ourselves
Even shoot it at others
We can put out fires with it
Make tea and coffee
Add it to food
Drinks
Is All of this LOVE?
Well yes, I think so
For without water we die
And without love we are just stone statues
Standing on a lonesome hillside
Waiting for someone to make it okay
I am reminded that the water is in me
So am I ALSO love?
Yes, I AM love
Or should I say I am a PART of love
For just like water will ALWAYS find a way
I HAVE to believe that whatever obstacles I find
I WILL find a way to follow my course
Just like a single solitary water droplet
Will never be lost
I may even EVAPORATE
But then I WILL come again
One day, I believe
In a shower of RAIN
A Bard of the Setting Sun
